TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
I write with regard to my experience of the services provided by
Robert Hort & Associates (now RWH International).
After my wife and I had taken the decision to explore employment
opportunities in the United States, it was recommended to us that
we contact Robert Hort & Associates. This proved to be the start
of a fairly protracted association, conducted by phone, fax and
a-mail, and culminating in my obtaining employment in Houston, Texas,
and our relocating successfully, to the United States.
Robert Hort & Associates undertook a formal assessment of my
employment possibilities, and questioned us as to our requirements
and geographic preferences prior to undertaking job search. This
was carried out in a professional and effective manner and we subsequently
visited the United States, where a number of interviews with appropriate
and high profile companies had been set up, taking account of my
specific engineering qualifications and background in project management
a well as my personal career aspirations.
The result was that our trip to the United States was extremely
worth while. Our itinerary was necessarily flexible, yet our preferred
locations were respected and our time was carefully scheduled so
as to be available for repeat interviews or meetings should this
be necessary. We remained in constant telephone contact with RWH
throughout, before and after appointments, and were provided with
guidance and background information on the specific companies, in
preparation for meetings. Interviews could then be conducted in
an informed manner and there was little of the unnecessary stress
which often accompanies lack of preparation. Almost all interviews
were positive and genuine interest was created in a number of instances.
The job offer which I accepted, some months after the initial trip
was undertaken, was, in fact with the first company interviewed.
It was, however, with far greater surety that I was able to accept
the position, having had exposure to other companies and possible
positions and having learnt something about the employment market
in the USA.
The entire relocation process has run smoothly, largely as a result
of the prior resolution of a suitable career move. I have no hesitation
in recommending Robert Hort and Associates' as professional placement
consultants.
