December 1998
I immigrated to Canada from South Africa as a Quality Practitioner
and Mr R Hort was referred to me as highly commendable.
Because of my own personal constraints, I flew to Canada for a
two week period, to conduct the interviews. On my arrival Mr R Hort
presented me with a full schedule of appointments and briefed me
on the various companies. He furthermore, in a professional manner,
briefed me on the interviewing style, that is common to Canada and
touched on certain personal strengths and weaknesses.
In the ten day period I approached a total of twelve companies,
two of which were not very promising , however from the remaining
ten companies I conducted a total of 24 interviews. From these ten
companies I had a hit rate of five verbal offers, of which four
materialized into written job offers. From this strong position
I was able to choose the one that I felt most comfortable with.
The position I accepted was for a Quality Engineer.
During the ten day period Mr Hort dedicated himself to my job sear-
ch and on a daily basis followed up on how progress was made an
he continuously gave sound and professional advice. Even after my
departure, up to my final arrival in Canada Mr R Hort assisted me
with the finalities of the accepted job offer.
Although the Job Search Fee initially made me hesitate, I have
no regrets in having consulted Mr Hort and I personally recommend
him to anybody, who is on an international job search to Canada.
